When designing the Tremortusk which was going to have a combat function I thought that such a big machine would have a lot of weight and inertia, and probably would be somehow slow reacting to melee attacks. To counteract this issue I made the tusk as articulated robotic arms, that could reconfigure and move at high speeds. That would give, to this potentially clumsy and heavy machine, the precision and speed of an expert surgeon.
